Lafayette, LA (July 30, 2025) – The Lafayette Parish School System is actively recruiting substitute bus drivers—and we have an immediate need for three certified drivers.
While nearly all regular routes are currently staffed, substitute drivers are essential when regular drivers are out due to illness or leave. Without enough substitutes, some routes risk cancellation, placing added stress on families.
To make it easier to get certified, LPSS does offer three-day training classes. Interested individuals can register at lpssonline.com/subdrivers.
