Broussard, LA (January 25, 2026) – From Broussard Mayor Ray Bourque: “I have declared a State of Emergency for the City of Broussard as a proactive response to winter weather we will experience this week.”

“I want to urge all Broussard residents to take precautions and prepare for the freezing temperatures, beginning tonight and forecasted throughout this week.”

“Please protect your pipes and conserve water. This is an all-hands-on-deck moment for the city, as we are working to ensure the optimal operation of our water system for residents and businesses during this winter blast.”

There will be no garbage collection service Monday, January 26 and Tuesday, January 27, due to winter weather. Service will resume on Wednesday, January 28.
