LAFAYETTE PARISH, LA – The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development announces that beginning on October 18, 2023, construction will commence on a $525,350.00 project to perform median improvements on La. 3073 (Ambassador Caffery Pkwy) from its intersection with La. 89-1 (Youngsville Hwy) to .5-mile east of its intersection in Lafayette Parish.

The project will include class two asphalt base course, portland cement concrete pavement, and related work.

The work is estimated to take place Mondays through Fridays from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., weather permitting.

Intermittent lane closures will be required to perform the work; therefore, drivers should expect delays.

Emergency vehicles will have access to this area but may encounter delays.

The road will be open to regular traffic with a 10-foot lane restriction on oversized loads passing through the work zone.

The project is estimated to be completed in December of 2023.
