NEW IBERIA, LA (Mar. 12, 2024) – Louisiana State Senator Blake Miguez (District 22) proudly announces his committee assignments for the 2024 legislative sessions. Senator Miguez, who was elected on October 14th, 2023, will serve on the following committees:
- Senate and Governmental Affairs (Vice Chair)
- Education
- Finance
- Judiciary C
- Capitol Security Council (Vice Chair)
- Joint Legislative Committee on the Budget
In addition to his committee assignments, Miguez will also hold positions within the Acadiana Delegation and the Louisiana Rural Caucus.
“I am honored to have been entrusted with these important committee assignments and leadership roles,” said Miguez. “I am committed to using these positions to fight for the people of District 22, which includes Saint Martin Parish, Iberia Parish, and Lafayette Parish. My constituents can count on me to be their strong voice in Baton Rouge and to work tirelessly to address the issues that matter most to our community.”
Miguez’s legislative priorities include strengthening education, rebuilding infrastructure, lowering insurance rates, supporting economic development, and improving public safety. He pledges to work closely with Governor Jeff Landry, his colleagues in the Senate and the House to find solutions to the challenges facing District 22 and the state of Louisiana as a whole.
