LAFAYETTE, LA (September 13, 2024) – On Monday, September 16, 2024, Lafayette Utilities System (LUS) will begin sewer repairs on South Washington Street. As a result, the 700 and 800 blocks of South Washington Street will be closed during this time. The project will take approximately two weeks to complete – with expected working hours from 6:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
To avoid potential traffic delays, motorists who frequent the affected area are advised to use an alternate route or to incorporate additional time into their schedules.
