Years ago, I stopped setting destinations for life and instead chose direction. Life is a journey. Every part of that journey is teaching us something. Often, we miss the little lessons that life is trying to teach us because we are so focused on the destination.

Many quit because of the seemingly little progress felt toward the chosen destination.

I encourage others to just focus on the day, on the present moment, on the subtle things life is trying to teach them and to slow down to speed up.

We are only promised today. We are not promised tomorrow. Don’t waste your time focused on what isn’t promised. Focus on the things you can control today. Leave the destination to God.
