LAFAYETTE, LA (January 9, 2025) – Lafayette Consolidated Government’s Traffic, Roads, and Bridges Department announced the temporary closure of the intersection at the 100 block of Fatima Road and the 1200 block of Bajat Road from Monday, January 13, through Thursday, January 16, 2025.
The closure is necessary to allow drainage crews to widen the intersection as part of ongoing infrastructure improvements. Construction will involve replacing culverts and installing drainage catch basins to enhance the area’s stormwater management capabilities.
Detour routes will be provided, and local access will be maintained throughout the construction period.

- Mardi Gras Road
- Joli Road
- Ombrage Road
- Braquest Road
- Cormier Road
Motorists are encouraged to plan their travel accordingly and use caution when navigating detour routes.
