LAFAYETTE, LA (January 15, 2025)The Lafayette Parish School System (LPSS) has announced that the in-school ACT testing date has been rescheduled to Thursday, March 13, 2025. Students who are not assigned to take the test will be excused.

LPSS leaders made this change to provide students with ample time to settle back into their academic routines following the time change on March 9th and the Mardi Gras holiday week.

Superintendent Francis Touchet, Jr., emphasized the importance of this decision:

“A student’s performance on the ACT is critical to determining what support they qualify for in higher education. We want to ensure that they are mentally and academically prepared for testing, so their scores accurately reflect their abilities.”

LPSS encourages students to take full advantage of the resources available to prepare for the test. For additional information or assistance, students are encouraged to contact their high school counselor.
