WASHINGTON (January 22, 2025) – U.S. Senator Bill Cassidy, M.D. (R-LA) released the following statement announcing he will vote to confirm South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem to serve as the 8th U.S. Secretary of Homeland Security.

“Governor Noem has her priorities straight. Americans want to see the border secured and know their government is protecting them from another terror attack like the New Orleans attack. She has made that her focus,” said Dr. Cassidy. “I am confident that this administration will secure the southern border. I will vote for Governor Noem’s confirmation.”
