Cassidy Announces $21.1 Million Louisiana in Hurricane Relief, Emergency Preparedness

WASHINGTON (January 22, 2025) – U.S. Senator Bill Cassidy, M.D. (R-LA) announced Louisiana will receive $21,110,674.58 from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) for Hurricane Laura relief and emergency preparedness, including elevation of flood-prone structures and installation of generators.

“Louisiana has been hit hard by hurricanes and natural disasters, but we are resilient,” said Dr. Cassidy. “This funding will rebuild our communities, prevent flooding, and keep our lights on when the next storm hits.”
