Lafayette, LA (February 21, 2025) – Consolidated Government’s Traffic, Roads, and Bridges Department advises motorists of upcoming lane reductions on West Congress Street in both directions due to sewer infrastructure repairs.
From Monday, February 24 through Wednesday, March 5, 2025, the center and interior travel lanes for southwest-bound and northeast-bound traffic on W. Congress Street will be reduced before Crawford Street and Marie Antoinette Street. A contractor for Lafayette Utilities System (LUS) will be performing necessary sewer infrastructure work within the roadway.
Motorists should expect delays, use caution in the work zone, and consider alternate routes when possible.
