Cassidy Announces Over $20.6 Million for Hurricanes Ida, Laura Recovery

WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Bill Cassidy, M.D. (R-LA) announced Louisiana will receive $20,600,847.62 from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) in reimbursement for permanent repairs and recovery efforts following Hurricanes Laura and Ida.

“This funding supports schools, hospitals, and airport infrastructure,” said Dr. Cassidy. “These investments help our communities recover and prepare for the next storm.”

$11,270,163.36Terrebonne Parish School Board  This grant will provide federal funding for the replacement of damaged school property as a direct result of Hurricane Ida.
$1,239,204.18Ochsner Clinic FoundationThis grant will provide federal funding for permanent repairs to the Kenner Ochsner Medical Office Building damaged by Hurricane Ida.
$7,071,039.26Calcasieu Parish School BoardThis grant will provide federal funding for permanent repairs at Barbe High School campus facilities damaged by Hurricane Laura.
$1,020,440.82Louis Armstrong New Orleans International AirportThis grant will provide federal funding for permanent repairs to buildings damaged by Hurricane Ida.
