LPSS to Host North Lafayette Community Meetings on New K–8 School

Lafayette, LA (January 30, 2026) – The Lafayette Parish School System will host two community meetings to share information about the new K–8 school planned for North Lafayette. The public is encouraged to attend one of the two events.

The meetings will provide an overview of the project’s vision, renderings and design concepts, and planning process. District leaders, the School Board representatives for north Lafayette, and members of the design and construction teams will be present to answer questions and hear feedback from families, neighbors, and community members.

Thursday, February 19
5:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.
Dr. Raphael Baranco Elementary School

  • Project design and construction teams

To share information about the new K–8 school planned for North Lafayette and gather community input as part of the planning and design process.
