Youngsville, LA (September 16, 2025) – Alecia LeBlanc is excited to share a bit about her journey as a small business owner right here in Youngsville, Louisiana. Her adventure began back in 1991 when she opened her very first salon on the stunning Mississippi Gulf Coast in Pass Christian. After the devastation of Hurricane Katrina claimed her beautiful beachfront view and led to the heartbreaking loss of her husband, Patrick McDonald Jr., just a month later, she found herself relocating her salon to Diamondhead, Mississippi. She was proud to be one of the first to reopen on the coast after that tragic storm, determined to bring a bit of light back to her community.
In 2012, she made the bold decision to start anew in Louisiana, guided by the hope of fresh beginnings and the love of her wonderful husband, Todd LeBlanc. While she worked at a couple of salons during her time in Youngsville, she never envisioned herself opening another salon—until a charming little cottage came her way in 2022, and thus, The Cottage House Salon and Gifts was born.
Now, alongside the incredibly talented Lillian Meaux and Trisha Dunaway, she is living her dream of combining hair artistry with heartfelt connections. What started as a career she never anticipated has blossomed into a passion fueled by the amazing people who walk through their doors. It’s the conversations, the laughter, and the occasional hugs when life gets overwhelming that truly make her job so fulfilling.
At The Cottage House Salon, they want you to feel seen and heard. They believe in the magic of hair therapy, the comfort of mental wellness, and the value of time spent together. They are never in a rush; every visit is a chance for connection, and they can’t wait to welcome you into their cozy haven.
