There are so many things in my life that I can choose from to be grateful for and I’m sure you can agree that you do as well.
This morning, I’m most grateful for my story. So many have given me an opportunity to share it. What I love most is that my story builds people from all walks of life up, as opposed to tearing another down.
As a child, I was sooooo shy. Up into high school, I was extremely timid. I had this fear of being seen. I always chose paths to be behind the scenes, not to be seen. There are still times in my present dealings when I try to go under the radar or am tempted to choose a path that will allow me to hide. It’s something I intentionally arm wrestle with every day. Just because I look comfortable doesn’t mean I am.
I choose every day to inspire someone, whether by social media or in person. Because I know the power it has when it isn’t hidden. The impact my story has on others way outweighs my discomfort. I know a lot of you who follow me can feel this because it’s what you’re challenged with every day as well. I encourage you to share your story but do it in your own way and on your terms. Just don’t silence yourself. You’re special and have a unique story that can and will lift others up. Let’s be outspoken in our own way together.
