Don’t sleep in desperation. It’s through desperation that our mind gets the most creative. Some of my best ideas have come from times of great despair and at rock bottom.

Some of the things we do in disparity is blame ourselves. We have plenty of negative self-talk. We blame ourselves and also others.

For those that are in great distress right now, here are a few things you can do to get creative:

  1. Start journaling those thoughts and your current happenings. This lets you get those thoughts out of your head and on paper. Looking at those thoughts from a bird’s eye view helps give a new perspective.
  2. Write down positive thoughts and desires that you verbally repeat around the clock to yourself.
  3. Learn about others’ struggles and how they came out of it. This will give you confidence in your situation.
  4. Determine that you won’t quit no matter how hard it gets. Persevere no matter what.
  5. Trust God and allow Him to take care of the things that only He can do.

These things will help you shift your mindset and set the framework for creative ideas. It will also get you some momentum. Tough times are hard. Trust me, I know very well. However, you’ll climb out just like I have so many times.
