For the past couple of months, I’ve been dealing with a knee injury that’s challenged me in a completely different way. If you’ve been following my journey, you know running has always been my mindset builder—my go-to for the last 15 years. Being forced to step away from that, while rehabbing my knee and finding new ways to challenge myself mentally, hasn’t been easy. But growth has a way of showing up exactly where we don’t expect it.
Some days, showing up to the gym isn’t about chasing personal records or proving anything to anyone. It’s about choosing trust over fear. After a knee injury, every step carries a memory—but I refuse to let the past decide what my body is capable of today.
I show up anyway. I move with intention. I listen, adapt, and stay consistent. Because strength isn’t just rebuilt in muscles—it’s rebuilt in confidence, patience, and belief.
Progress after injury isn’t loud. It’s quiet. It’s disciplined. It’s earned one careful repetition at a time. And every time I walk into the gym, I’m reminding myself: healing didn’t end when the pain stopped—it continues every time I choose to show up.
