It’s mostly about consistency that will get you the results you’re looking for—not perfection, but consistency. Sometimes, we confuse consistency with perfection, and when we think we aren’t perfect at a certain thing, we quit. Maybe it’s looking at yourself in the mirror after a week of consistency with little results; we lose motivation and consistency.
It’s the doing of something large or small over a period of time that will get you to the results you desire. That means you’ll have to go through stretches of limited results. You’ll have to go through discouraging moments. You’ll have to push through depression.
The key is to be consistent, not perfect. You’re going to miss a few days. You’re going to miss a week, but don’t quit. A year of consistency and ups and downs far outweighs a year of no consistency and conforming to the downs. Just don’t quit. Look yourself in the mirror and tell yourself that you’re not a quitter. That what you have is all you need to go through the season you’re in. Don’t make yourself a liar. Just get it done. You got this!
We get to decide how we show up each day and how we want our lives to turn out. Give it 150%. It will be worth it.
