Someone’s Replacement or Replacing Someone

Moore Motivations courtesy of Nate Moore, Local Entrepreneur, Speaker, and Podcaster.

There were times when I had to remind myself if I was someone’s replacement or if I was replacing someone else. I still do this from time to time.

When I worked a W-2 job, I always climbed the ladder fast. I was either on track to replace someone, or someone knew that I was coming. It because of what I said, it was about what I would demonstrate. I had a philosophy that no one was going to outwork me. I mean, no one. I would show up before everyone else and be one of the last to leave. No one was going to outread me or out-hustle me. When I showed up, I meant business.

The key was that I started my day earlier than my competitors. It’s a practice now, a habit that I still do every day. When others showed up warming up, I would show up ready to hit the ground running. That gave me an advantage. You get to decide whether you’re someone’s replacement or you are replacing someone else.
