Your body listens to your thoughts, and your feelings and emotions are led by them. Your thoughts will determine what kind of day you have, whether you see opportunities or failures in life, and whether you feel good or bad. Your thoughts matter.
Here are a few things that help me limit negative thinking:
- Journaling my thoughts
- Reading about others’ struggles and successes
- Limiting my time with negative people
- Limiting my time on social and news outlets
- Changing the things that I listen to. Podcasts, audiobooks, inspirational music, motivational videos
- Prayer and gratitude
These are my go-to’s every day. These things help put me on offense for the day. Challenging your thoughts takes intentional actions. Good thoughts won’t just happen. You have to do something about it.
