On November 5, 2024, Youngsville residents will vote for a candidate for Youngsville Chief of Police and Youngsville City Council Division D.

According to the Concerned Citizens of Youngsville’s Facebook page, the group will host two town hall meetings. Both meetings are open to the public and will allow residents to learn about the candidates for the two positions before voting in November. The town hall meetings will be at Youngsville City Council Chambers, 201 Iberia Street, Youngsville, Louisiana.

  • The City Council Candidates Town Meeting is scheduled for 6 p.m. on Wednesday, September 25, 2024
  • The Chief of Police Candidates Town Meeting is scheduled for 6 p.m. on Wednesday, October 2, 2024

Elections for both of these seats are Special Elections. The Youngsville Chief of Police seat is to fulfill the remaining term of former Police Chief Rickey Boudreaux, who resigned in August 2023. Cody Louviere was appointed by the Youngsville City Council as interim police chief. The Council Division D seat is to fulfill the remaining term of former Council Member Ken Stansbury, who resigned in October 2023 after winning a seat on the Lafayette Parish Council. Jamie Creed was appointed by the Council as interim Council Member for Division D.

Concerned Citizens of Youngville is not a political group. It is a group of citizens of the City of Youngsville whose sole focus is engaging the community with those seeking office within the City of Youngsville.
