Lafayette, LA (January 23, 2026) – The new president of the Acadiana Republican Women’s organization is Jamie Creed (left in photo) of Youngsville. ARW officers serve two-year terms.
Other newly elected officers, who were all sworn in on January 21, 2026, include:
- 1st Vice President: Peggy Buckles
- 2nd Vice President: Daphne Smith
- Recording Secretary: Brook Lafleur
- Corresponding Secretary: Ruth Petry
- Treasurer: Helen Granger
- Parliamentarian: Iris Milligan
The Acadiana Republican Women is a grassroots organization of women and men formed to support, preserve and promote the conservative ideals and principles of the Republican Party at all levels of Government. The Acadiana Republican Women Club was chartered in 1968 as an affiliate of the Louisiana Federation of Republican Women.
ARW’s membership is open to all who share our ideals of limited government, individual responsibility, and protection of the inalienable rights of American people as stated in the Constitution and the Bill of Rights. As their numbers grow, so does their ability to have a strong voice in their community and region, and to achieve our objectives.
