Ambition and community service are examples of what drives Youngsville resident Jamie Creed.

Since moving to Youngsville, Louisiana, in 2019 with her husband Brian and their daughter Christina, Creed jumped hands and feet first in being involved in the Youngsville community. After seeing a social media post about The Rotary Club of Youngsville, she decided to start with the Rotary Club and signed up to be a club member.

Aside from being the current President-Elect (Vice-President) of the Rotary Club of Youngsville, she is a board member of the Youngsville Chamber of Commerce, involved with Casa of SoLA for Children (Court Appointed Special Advocates), attended the Youngsville Leadership Class III, and along with Christina volunteers at Second Harvest.

Currently, Creed is working to get her master’s degree in Industrial Organizational Psychology; she should have her degree in about eight months. She plans to open a business to help other businesses get started, organizational, social media, and other services.

During Brian’s twenty-seven years of service in the United States Navy, Creed was a Navy wife for eleven of those years. As a Navy wife, she was involved in community service through the Red Cross, Special Olympics, and Navy Ombudsman while living in Japan.

The couple met while Brian was a Navy recruiter in Opelousas, Louisiana.

Before Brian’s Navy retirement, the family lived in Yokosuka, Japan; Norfolk, Virginia; and Milmington, Tennessee.

While the Creed family was living in Milmington, they returned home for a birthday party for one of her nephew’s children. During that visit, her nephew suggested they move back home to Louisiana, and in 2019, they moved to Youngsville, the city they chose for their new home.

Christiana attends an online private school in which she will not only get her high school diploma but will also receive an Associate’s Degree in Business. Christina attends dance classes and teaches dance to younger students. She desires to become a choreographer.

Retired from the Navy after twenty-seven years of service, Brian works for a private company in the Information Technology (IT) industry as a government contractor.

For the last few years, Creed has created laser-cut earrings and engraved cutting boards through her business C&J Creed Creations, has a blog, and in her free time, she enjoys doing crafts, making wreaths, and getting back to playing the piano. Returning to the piano will allow her to teach her daughter to play the piano.
