Lacey Viator has been with the Broussard Chamber of Commerce (BCC) for nearly six years. In March 2024, she became its President.
As part of her role at the BCC, Viator plays a key role in organizing some of the community’s events, including the July 4th Celebration at St. Julien Park and the Noël à Broussard celebration in downtown Broussard.
In 2023, Viator attended the University of Arizona and became certified in the Institute of Organization Management. The Institute for Organization Management was designed to enhance individual performance, elevate professional standards, and recognize associations, chambers of commerce, and other nonprofit professionals who demonstrate the knowledge essential to the practice of nonprofit management. It is the professional development program of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.
Viator loves working in the Broussard community and watching businesses grow. She added that it’s inspiring to witness collaboration and creativity in action through local events and initiatives in the community.
Before working at the Broussard Chamber, Viator was the Youngsville Chamber of Commerce director for two years. She brings experience from her nearly nine years in the non-profit industry.
Viator enjoys a range of personal interests when not immersed in her professional responsibilities. These include staying fit, outdoor activities, reading, and taking pride in her children’s extracurricular activities.
Originally from Jeanerette, she graduated from New Iberia Senior High School. She and her husband of twelve years have two children.
