WASHINGTON (Dec. 14, 2023) – United States Senator Bill Cassidy, M.D. (R-LA) announced the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (LaDOTD) will receive an $88,300,000.00 Transportation Infrastructure Finance and Innovation Act loan for the LA 415 Interconnector Project – Phase 1 (the “Project”). The project is designed to reduce traffic congestion, increase capacity for future traffic demand, and provide an additional hurricane evacuation route for the Baton Rouge Metropolitan area. The funding comes from his Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA).

“Removing potholes, adding hurricane evacuation routes, and reducing traffic is the very purpose of transportation funding from the Infrastructure Law,” said Dr. Cassidy. “This funding will cut down our time on the roads so we can spend more time with our families and communities.”
