Youngsville, LA (September 19, 2025) – From the Youngsville Police Department: We have recently been made aware of a scam where individuals are receiving phone calls from someone claiming to be with the Youngsville Police Department. The caller may ask for money or claim you owe a debt. Please note: the Youngsville Police Department will NEVER call you asking for money.

The caller is using the name Officer Robert Michael, but we do not have anyone by that name working with our department.

The scammer is also duplicating our department’s phone number: 337-856-5931.

What you should do:

  • Do not give out any personal information or money.
  • Hang up immediately and report the call to the Youngsville Police Department.
  • If you receive such a call, call us directly at (337) 856-5931 to verify any concerns.

This is a SCAM – stay vigilant.
