Cassidy Announces $9.9 Million for Louisiana in Hurricane, Seawater Intrusion Relief

WASHINGTON â€“ U.S. Senator Bill Cassidy, M.D. (R-LA) announced Louisiana will receive $9,866,737.76 from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) for Hurricane Laura, Hurricane Ida, and seawater intrusion relief.

“Louisiana is a beacon of strength and resilience through any storm,” said Dr. Cassidy. â€śThis funding will help restore our communities, prepare for future hurricanes, and ensure they are equipped with clean water.”

$4,680,568.18Church of the KingThis grant will provide federal funding for permanent repairs as a result of Hurricane Laura.
$1,991,002.41Roman Catholic Church Archdiocese of New OrleansThis grant will provide federal funding for emergency protective measures as a result of Hurricane Ida.
$3,195,167.17Plaquemines ParishThis grant will provide federal funding for emergency protective measures at the Belle Chasse Water Treatment Plant as a result of seawater intrusion.
