BATON ROUGE, LA (August 30, 2024) – Governor Jeff Landry announced the appointment of Blaise Zuschlag to the LSU Board of Supervisors. Blaise will finish the remainder of his father’s term, Richard Zuschlag, who passed away in June.

“Richard Zuschlag lived a life dedicated to serving his state. From starting Acadian Companies to his many philanthropic and community service endeavors, everything Richard touched turned to success. That is why I can think of no better person to continue his legacy on the LSU Board of Supervisors than his son, Blaise,” said Governor Jeff Landry. “I am excited to see the ingenuity and leadership Blaise will bring to the board.”

“It is a great privilege to have the opportunity to carry out my father’s term on the LSU Board of Supervisors. As an LSU alumnus, I am honored to serve on this board and continue to grow the legacy of our state’s flagship university. I am grateful to Governor Landry for making this possible, and I am looking forward to getting to work,” said Blaise Zuschlag.
