WASHINGTON (August 1, 2024) – Senator John Kennedy (R-La.), a member of the Senate Appropriations Committee, and Senator Bill Cassidy (R-La) today announced a $1,281,178 Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) grant for Louisiana disaster aid.
“Hurricane Laura swept through south Louisiana, leaving behind destruction. This $1.3 million will help Cameron Parish restore Creole Park so that Louisianians can continue to enjoy our state’s outdoor recreation,” said Kennedy.
“Hurricane Laura left a path of destruction across Southwest Louisiana, but our communities are stronger than any storm,” said Dr. Cassidy. “This funding will help restore Creole Park and return it to wholeness.”
The FEMA aid will fund the following:
- $1,281,178 to Cameron Parish for the permanent restoration to the Creole Park as a result of Hurricane Laura.
