BROUSSARD / YOUNGSVILLE, LA (January 21, 2025) – The Broussard and Youngsville Police Departments are urging people to stay off of the roads due to dangerous conditions.

Heavy snowfall is currently impacting the Broussard and Youngsville area, creating extremely hazardous driving conditions.

Chief JP Broussard of Youngsville and Chief Vance Olivier of Broussard strongly urge all residents to STAY HOME unless absolutely necessary.

If you must travel, use extreme caution. Emergency services will continue to operate, but response times may be affected by weather conditions. For emergencies, dial 911. Conditions will continue to be monitored and provide updates.

Roadway closures are listed at http://lafayettela.gov/roadclosures but are not comprehensive as some are not reported due to little traffic flow.
