Youngsville Mayor Ken Ritter announced today the 0.75 mile recreational trail connecting the walking track at Foster Park to the Youngsville Sports Complex is officially open.

According to Ritter, the project enhances the quality of life for residents, while providing an opportunity for residents to stay active. He added pedestrians can now safely travel from neighborhoods near Highland Ridge and Southside High School to Youngsville’s city parks.

Ritter acknowledged their City Engineer Clint Simoneaux, PE for the design and grant execution; the Louisiana Office of Culture and Tourism provided the funding for the project.
