STATEMENT FROM MAYOR-PRESIDENT JOSH GUILLORY ON THE PASSING OF FORMER LAFAYETTE CITY MARSHAL EARL “NICKEY” PICARD

I am saddened by the passing of Mr. Earl “Nickey” Picard. Mr. Picard was a good friend, mentor, and inspiration to me and a pillar in the community. During his thirty years as Lafayette City Marshal, Mr. Picard served selflessly, with integrity and accountability.

I extend my condolences and prayers of comfort to his family and to those who considered him a friend. Our community has lost a man of honor and outstanding character. He will be greatly missed.
