LAFAYETTE, La. (Feb. 15, 2024) – Lafayette Utilities System (LUS) will be hosting a public open house on Monday, February 26, 2024, between 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Lafayette Main Library. A second public open house will be held on Wednesday, February 28, 2024, between 6:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. at South Regional Library to discuss LUS’s Bonin Redevelopment Project. (view previous update)
LUS will present information about the comprehensive plan to demolish, remove, and redevelop the Louis “Doc” Bonin Electric Generating station with a modern, energy-efficient plant and state-of-the-art operations center.
The events are FREE of charge; however, registration is recommended.
