YOUNGSVILLE, LA (December 12, 2024) – Tonight, Nicholas Niland was sworn in as the Youngsville City Council Member for Division D. Niland’s wife, Taylor, and their son, Jude, were by his side while being sworn in by City Attorney Wade Trahan.

Niland is filling the seat vacated by Ken Stansbury, who resigned in October 2024 due to winning the Lafayette Parish Council Seat for District 3.

Jamie Creed served as interim Youngsville Council Member for Division D from when Stansbury resigned to Niland being sworn in tonight.

Niland was in a run-off with Todd Istre and won Division D’s special election held last weekend.
