All Lafayette Parish public schools will reopen on Friday, September 13, 2024.

Lafayette Parish School System (LPSS) schools and district offices will remain closed on Thursday, September 12, 2024.

At the Broussard City Council meeting on September 10, 2024, the council approved awarding Southern Coating, LLC, a bid of $907,000.00 to rehabilitate the Main Street and Highway 90 water towers.

Due to potential weather issues with Tropical Storm/Hurricane Francine, garbage and recycling pickup will be delayed in Broussard and Youngsville.
