LAFAYETTE, LA (December 18, 2024) – Superintendent Francis Touchet, Jr., and the LPSS leadership team proudly announced the 2025-2026 Principal and Assistant Principal of the Year honorees on Monday.
Superintendent Touchet emphasized the critical role of school leadership, stating:
“Education starts at the top level of a school’s staff. Strong leaders inspire their teachers and foster professional growth. The culture a principal creates directly impacts student engagement, cultivating an environment that supports learning and excellence.”
The 2025-2026 Principals of the Year are:
- High School: Bridget Malveaux, Early College Academy
- Middle School: Amanda Guillory, Milton Elementary/Middle School
- Elementary School: Nancy Credeur, Green T. Lindon Elementary
The 2025-2026 Assistant Principals of the Year are:
- High School: Kaydra Ellis, Carencro High School
- Middle School: Monica Guillory, LeRosen Preparatory
- Elementary School: Amanda Sanders, J.W. Faulk Elementary
These outstanding leaders will advance to the zone competition and, if successful, will represent LPSS in the state competition in May.
