LPSS Announces Ebony Moten as Principal of Lerosen Preparatory

Lafayette Parish, LA (May 26, 2026) – The Lafayette Parish School System has named Ebony Moten as the new principal of Lerosen Preparatory Program.

Mrs. Moten brings 24 years of experience in education, all within LPSS, where she has served in multiple leadership roles focused on student achievement, school culture, staff development, and school operations. Throughout her career, she has built a reputation for strong relationships with students, families, and educators while maintaining a student-centered approach to leadership.

Superintendent Francis Touchet Jr. said Mrs. Moten’s experience and dedication to students make her an excellent fit for the role.

“Mrs. Moten has spent more than two decades serving the students and families of Lafayette Parish with professionalism, compassion, and a commitment to excellence,” Touchet said. “We are excited to welcome her as the next leader of the Lerosen program.”
