YOUNGSVILLE, La. (Feb. 9, 2024) – At last night’s Youngsville City Council meeting, the council approved an ordinance for a rate increase for water, sewage, solid waste removal, and recycling services.

The increase will be effective beginning with the March 2024 billing cycle and will continue until the City Council makes any future authorized changes.

Council member Matt Romero advised, “With rising costs from Waste Management and to continue providing quality services, we need to do a slight increase for services. This will be a minimal monthly change. If you have a second trash or recycle can, there be a higher charge due to additional services.”

New Rates

  • WATER. The base rate is $16.02 plus $3.92 per thousand gallons metered.
  • SEWAGE. The base rate is $9.61 plus $4.27 per thousand gallons of water metered.
  • SOLID WASTE Removal and RECYCLE SERVICE. The Base Rate is $27.00 plus $12.00 per month per additional cart(s)
