LAFAYETTE, LA (January 9, 2024) – Brach Myers and Kristopher Harrison of Lafayette, and Jesse Regan of Broussard are listed as qualifying on the Louisiana Secretary of State for the Louisiana State Senate District 23 special election.
Qualifying was held from January 7 to 9, 2024. The special election is to be held on February 15, 2024.
The seat opened because former state senator Jean-Paul Coussan of District 23 won as District 2 Public Service Commissioner in the November 5, 2024 election. He resigned as state senator and became District 2 public service commissioner on January 2, 2025.
