According to Youngsville Mayor Ken Ritter, the Velasco extension in Youngsville, Louisiana, is one step closer to reality thanks to the generosity of former mayor Wilson Viator and his wife, Sandy.
As part of the City of Youngsville Master Transporation Plan, this new road will provide a new outlet for Sugar Ridge, economic development opportunities, and drainage improvement.
Ritter announced on his Facebook page that the Viators donated the necessary property to construct a north-south road from the Sugar Ridge neighborhood to Chemin Metairie Pkwy this morning.
Last week the city amicably acquired the second parcel necessary thanks to the Fremin and Hollier families.
