Broussard Fire Department responds to house fire

Broussard, LA (June 14, 2025) – The Broussard Fire Department responded to a house fire at 100 Janin Road this afternoon.

The fire department was notified of the house fire at 2:20 p.m. The first unit arrived on the scene at 2:27 p.m. The Lafayette Fire Department, Carencro Fire Department, Milton Fire Department, and Youngsville Fire Department also responded to the scene. Firefighters observed the fire coming from the roof when they arrived, according to Broussard Fire Chief Bryan Champagne.

The home was occupied when the fire broke out. Everyone inside the home got out safely. There were no injuries. The house was destroyed by the fire, according to Chief Champagne.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation
