On January 29, 2023 at approximately 10:30 a.m., Officers with the Broussard Police Department responded to the report of a burglary at Zoosiana.  

At around 6:00 pm on January 26, 2023 Detectives with the Lafayette Police Department’s Youth Services Section received a call from a local hospital in reference to a two year old female brought in with extensive burns to a large part of her body. 

Around 11:26hrs on 01/22/2023, The Lafayette Police Department responded to shots fired in the 100 block of Railroad Street.

Regarding the shooting that occurred on January 18, 2023 in the 2300 block of Moss Street.

At around 6:42 pm officers with the Lafayette Police Department responded to a shooting in the 2300 block of Moss Street. 

Lafayette Police Department was made aware of a threat of involving a planned bombing at Lafayette High School located at 3000 W. Congress Street. 

Around 12:21 am Lafayette Police responded to shots fired in the 100 block of Guilbeau Road.

On January 12, 2023, the Lafayette Police Department conducted a Juvenile Underage Alcohol Sale Operation using buyers under the age of 21 to attempt to purchase alcoholic beverages within the city limits of Lafayette from various businesses.

On January 12, 2023, at approximately 7:25 AM, Officers with the Broussard Police Department responded to the 1200 block of S. Bernard Rd. for a crash involving a single vehicle that impacted a home.

Lafayette Police Traffic Investigators are currently on the scene in the 1800 block of E. Pinhook Road regarding a major traffic crash involving a single vehicle.
