Arrests on Armed Robbery and Carjacking

Lafayette, LA – An overnight armed robbery and carjacking ended in the speedy apprehension and arrest of two suspects thanks to the technology and assistance of the Sheriff’s Real Time Crime Center.

Deputies responded to the call in the 100 block of Hermosa Lane just after 1:00 a.m. Thursday morning. With the help of Real Time Crime Center Agents, deputies quickly intercepted the stolen vehicle and the suspects near the 900 block of West Willow Street.

The suspects, 44-year-old Kerry Chaisson and 39-year-old Heather Guidry were arrested and each was charged with Armed Robbery and Carjacking. Additionally, Chaisson is charged with Aggravated Flight and Resisting an Officer and Guidry is charged with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Chaisson and Guidry were booked into the Lafayette Parish Correctional Center without incident.
