Broussard Man Arrested for Multiple Narcotics and Weapons Charges

Broussard, LA (April 1, 2025) – James Fails, 31, of Broussard is facing several charges following his arrest Friday in Lafayette Parish.

In conjunction with the Broussard Police Department, the Lafayette Parish Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit executed a search warrant on Fails’ residence in the 100 block of Wilkie Street.  As a result of this search warrant, 784 grams of marijuana, 1902 MDMA pills, 673 milliliters of promethazine, 230 grams of THC wax, 41 THC vapes cartridges, a digital scale, US currency and a Draco firearm were recovered. 

Fails was charged with Possession with Intent to Distribute Marijuana, Possession with Intent to Distribute MDMA, Possession with Intent to Distribute THC Wax, Possession with Intent to Distribute THC Vape Cartridges, Monies Derived from Drug Proceeds, Possession of a Firearm in the Presence of a Controlled Dangerous Substance and Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon. 

This case remains under investigation, and there is no further information.
