Broussard, LA (march 25, 2026) – At approximately 9:00 a.m., officers with the Broussard Police Department responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle occupied by a male in the 200 block of Roto Park Drive.

During the course of the investigation, officers located: 1 acid sheet, 8 LSD gummies, 22 MDMA tablets, 1.9 grams of MDMA/LSD powder mix, 141 benzodiazepine pills, 6.3 grams of suspected psilocybin mushrooms, 2 grams of cocaine, and 1 THC cartridge.

The suspect, identified as Richard Brame, 45 YOA, was charged with possession of Schedule I narcotics, possession of Schedule II narcotics, possession of Schedule IV narcotics, possession of drug paraphernalia, and open container. Brame was booked into the Lafayette Parish Correctional Center.

The Broussard Police Department is committed to its efforts to prevent the possession, transportation, and distribution of illegal narcotics both within and through the City of Broussard.
