LAFAYETTE, La. (Nov. 29, 2023, 9:50 a.m.) – On November 28, 2023, the suspect wanted in connection with the shooting that occurred on November 22, 2023, in the 2800 block of NE Evangeline Thruway has been arrested. The detained suspect was Carrol A. Steno III, on an arrest warrant for one count of second-degree murder.

Lafayette, LA -The victim from Wednesday’s night shooting, which occurred in the 2800 block of the North East Evangeline Thruway, has been identified as thirty-year-old Kenneth Johnson from St. Martinville, Louisiana. Lafayette, LA – Just after 5:00 p.m. on November 22, 2023, Lafayette Police Officers responded to a shooting in progress in the 2800 block of the Northeast Evangeline Thruway. The victim of the shooting was transported to a local hospital in a private vehicle before the arrival of the officers. The victim later died as a result of the gunshot wounds. Lafayette Police detectives are on the scene, and the investigation is ongoing.
