Lafayette Parish, LA (January 16, 2026) – A Lafayette Parish teen is behind bars after an extensive investigation involving possession of child sexual abuse materials.
The Lafayette Parish Sheriff’s Office Juvenile Section was forwarded the case after the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigations Internet Crimes Against Children Division received a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
Following the execution of multiple search warrants, an arrest warrant was issued for the teen for two counts of Possession of Child Sexual Abuse Materials.
In conjunction with LPSO Patrol, SWAT, Intelligence, and Juvenile Detectives, the teen was located, arrested and booked into the Lafayette Juvenile Detention Home on the aforementioned charges.
This investigation remains ongoing. No further information is being released at this time.
