LAFAYETTE, La. (Jan 24, 2024 3:04 p.m.) – In regards to the shooting that occurred on January 23, 2024, the suspect, Robert Alfred (black/male/30), was located and arrested on his warrant for one count of attempted second-degree murder.

LAFAYETTE, La. (Jan. 21, 2024 6:45 a.m.) – At approximately 3:51 a.m. this morning, Lafayette Police responded to a shooting in progress in the 100 block of Riley Street. When officers arrived, they located a thirty-eight-year-old male victim suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment of his injuries. The victim is currently listed in critical condition. Investigators are actively working on this incident.
