On December 13, 2022 at around 3:28 p.m. Lafayette Police responded to an armed robbery with a gun.

Police Respond to a Simple Robbery in Progress

At around 1:35 pm officers with Lafayette Police Department responded to a convenience store located in the 1600 block of Eraste Landry Road in reference to a suspect attempting to remove an undisclosed amount of money from the register.

Police Investigate Suspicious Death

Lafayette Police Investigators are investigating a suspicious death of two people found deceased in a residence in the 200 block of Woodrow Street. 

Narcotics Arrest

During the month of November, 2022, Agents with the Lafayette Police Departments Narcotics Unit conducted an investigation within the city limits of Lafayette. 

Update on Attempted Homicide

Today, agents with the United States Marshall Service Violent Offender Task Force (USMS VOTF) along with the Iberia Parish Sheriff’s Office located and arrested Gregory Jones Jr. 28.

Lafayette Police on Scene of a Fatal Motorcycle Crash

Lafayette Police Traffic Investigators are currently on the scene in the 2900 block of NW Evangeline Thruway (Frontage Road) regarding a major traffic crash involving a motorcycle.

Police Investigate Homicide on Reserve Drive

At around 12:01 p.m. Lafayette Police Department responded to a shooting at a residence in the 100 block of Reserve Drive.

Attempted Armed Robbery Suspect Arrest

At around 7:48 am officers with Lafayette Police Department responded to the 200 block of Couret Drive in reference to reports of a man with a gun. 

Armed Robbery at Dollar General

The Youngsville Police Department reported on their Facebook page a Dollar General store was robbed by an armed gunman on Friday, September 9, 2022.
