Lafayette Police Traffic Investigators are currently on the scene in the 400 block of Carmel Drive regarding a major traffic crash involving a motorcycle.

On the morning of January 7, 2023 Officers with the Youngsville Police Department responded to a suspicious circumstances report in the 2400 block of E. Milton Avenue.

On December 30, 2022, at approximately 5:18 P.M., Lafayette Police responded to a shooting incident on the 600 block of Goldman Street.

On December 13, 2022 at around 3:28 p.m. Lafayette Police responded to an armed robbery with a gun.

At around 1:35 pm officers with Lafayette Police Department responded to a convenience store located in the 1600 block of Eraste Landry Road in reference to a suspect attempting to remove an undisclosed amount of money from the register.

Lafayette Police Investigators are investigating a suspicious death of two people found deceased in a residence in the 200 block of Woodrow Street. 

During the month of November, 2022, Agents with the Lafayette Police Departments Narcotics Unit conducted an investigation within the city limits of Lafayette. 

Today, agents with the United States Marshall Service Violent Offender Task Force (USMS VOTF) along with the Iberia Parish Sheriff’s Office located and arrested Gregory Jones Jr. 28.

Lafayette Police Traffic Investigators are currently on the scene in the 2900 block of NW Evangeline Thruway (Frontage Road) regarding a major traffic crash involving a motorcycle.

At around 12:01 p.m. Lafayette Police Department responded to a shooting at a residence in the 100 block of Reserve Drive.
